Original M16A1 Type D Stock, Vietnam Era U.S. Army Issue Great/Excellent Condition

Out of stock

Up for your consideration are original (NOT a reproduction) Great/Excellent Condition M16A1 Type D (NO trapdoor) stocks that came off of U.S. Army M16A1 rifles. These stocks are in Great/Excellent Condition, which is as follows:

  • No bulges, may be small dents and/or scratches; may have small repairs/fill ins at vulnerable points.
  • There may be some moderate discoloration, but this is due to age and use in service. Looks great with natural patina; again, does not affect structural integrity of grip whatsoever. You can choose to leave as is or refinish.
  • Will be well cleaned and ready to go for your rifle; looks amazing. The rubber buttpads look great (minimal to no cracking) and swivel stud looks great (not rusted)! Hardware like sling swivel stud will be cleaned and free of rust; might show slight signs of pitting, but all will be in perfect working order. Sling swivel (loop and rivet) itself will be new old stock.

The stock you will receive will look similar to the ones pictured. This is NOT a reproduction. This is the real thing, and would be perfect for your clone (or original) rifle. These are getting increasingly difficult to find in this condition. Most surplus service used Type D stocks found are in rough condition and need a ton of work (and for the same price as these!).  Any questions please feel free to ask!
